Hello My Name Is...
Mrs. Sonja Rogers
I have been teaching at Birchwood School since 2004.
After earning my teaching certification in Broad Field Social Studies from
UW-Superior, I taught Middle School Social Studies and Reading for 10 years. During
that time I completed a Master’s Degree in Reading and Special Education from
UW-Superior and a Doctor of Education from Walden University. For the past 4
years I have been the Director of Special Education, Title I Coordinator,
District Assessment Coordinator and Elementary Reading Interventionist. I am
also the District AODA Coordinator. I am a Birchwood School graduate and LOVE
teaching in the community I grew up in!
My husband of 15 years and I live in the small
community of Couderay, WI with our 2 Cocker Spaniels Jasper and Peaches and our
two kitties Charlie and Tabby. We enjoy being outdoors, spending time working
on our house, and traveling.
